Dr. Aqib Rehman Magray is Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology, School of Life Sciences, University of Kashmir. He is an immunologist and molecular biologist whose work centers on innate immunity, host–pathogen interactions, and macrophage biology. He obtained his Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Kashmir and has held research and teaching positions in India, Germany, and the United States, including a postdoctoral appointment at Clemson University. His research combines zebrafish genetics, live imaging, molecular biology, and infection models to study how immune cells control fungal and mycobacterial pathogens.
