Dr. Ishtiyaq Ahmad's technical expertise encompasses fish nutrition trials, feed formulation and evaluation, biochemical and enzymatic assays, molecular biology techniques including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR and qPCR, gene expression analysis and omics-based approaches for nutrigenomics studies. He is experienced in histology, histopathology and microscopy, including scanning electron microscopy for parasitological investigations, as well as water quality analysis and aquaculture system management. His research also integrates nanotechnology-based approaches, including the application of nanoparticles for targeted nutrient delivery, disease control and water quality monitoring in aquaculture systems. He has significant experience in experimental design, statistical and quantitative data analysis and scientific writing. He has actively contributed to teaching at postgraduate levels. His work bridges fundamental research in fish physiology, nutrition and host-pathogen interactions with translational applications aimed at improving aquaculture sustainability, fish health and global food security.
