Our research group is working on wide variety of topics on insect plant interactions, insect ecology and diversity, molecular taxonomy and IPM. Some of the research questions we are currently trying to address include: What are the reasons of decline in walnut production in Kashmir and what could be done to make this industry more profitable? What is the status of invasive alien plants in Kashmir Himalaya and how native insect herbivores could be exploited as biocontrol agents in a long-term and sustainable management of invasive plant species?
