One Day wokshop on the assembly & usage of foldscope.

Foldscope is an ultra-affordable, paper microscope that can be assembled easily. Designed to be extremely portable, durable, and to give optical quality similar to conventional research microscopes (magnification of 140X and 2 micron resolution), Foldscope brings hands-on microscopy to new places.

The workshop will focus on microscopy popularization and its advantage in field diagnosis in hilly & inaccessible areas. The advantage of this microscope is its compatibility with smart phones and pictures can be saved in phones. The microcosmos community is a dynamic community providing a platform to all the foldscope users to upload photos and share information to the world.
The workshop will be valuable especially for the Research scholars who many a time face problems regarding microscopy and micro-photography. All the research scholars of the Department of Zoology are eligible to attend the one day workshop.
